We are glad to announce that the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme will start again. They provided 1 Lac laptops to students studying in government institutions. The selection is merit-based. In a recent press release, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced this news during the conference. Ms. Shaza Fatima addressed the members of the Green Youth Movement of Universities at the Down University of Health Science Karachi. She said that every year, 2 million new citizens need employment, but there is not enough space in the job market to accommodate all of them.
Due to inflation, the prices of every utility thing rise high. She said it is unfortunate that 30 percent of the graduates do not get jobs. Therefore, there is a need to enable the graduates to be job providers rather than being employable to become entrepreneurs and provide employment to other people. To eliminate this unemployment, the government must offer internship programs for undergraduate youth in public and private institutions at Rs 12,000 per month. The government is taking steps in this regard so that the graduates can avail scholarships offered by different authorities and universities worldwide.
