Academic System to the LMS
In the recent meeting of AIOU VC in regional Office Sialkot, VC decided to shift the academic system to the LMS. He decided to improve education quality by shifting it to the Learning Management System (LMS). There were other members of the regional office Sialkot who were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, VC said that Allama Iqbal Open University is the 2nd largest university having 1.4 million students. The university has a vast amount of students from matric to Ph.D. programs. Other than that, till now, AIOU has awarded degrees to about 3.6 million students. Currently, they are serving the nation nationally and internationally.
On the connectivity problems, VC stated that we would set up computer centers in the areas having connectivity problems. He further said that within the next six months, all the educational systems would be digitilized. Thus, then all the workshops, administrative, and other related tasks will be online.
Online Classes
During the meeting, he also talked about online classes. He stated that from April 2021, 176,000 tutors would take online classes. However, students will be able to contact them through an automatic computerized system.
He also said that the fee submission process would also be online soon. However, students will receive the admission confirmation letter within one week. He said that the university would pay the fee of deserving students from the Students Support Fund from next semester, so deserving students must submit their applications.
