On 15th March 2021, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani issued a notification regarding the closure of schools. According to the details, the government of Sindh imposed a smart lockdown in some regions of Karachi. But due to smart lockdown, they will not permit educational institutions to shut down. They clarify all educational institutes to remain open. There is no plan of government to shut down the institutes again and instructed the authorities that there should be strict implementation of SOPs devised by the government to save from the coronavirus pandemic.
In a recent press release, Saeed Ghani said students have already faced a lot of loss in their education due to prolonged vacations. Therefore, it is useless to think about the closure of educational institutes again. As per details, the education and health departments actively monitoring the situation. In any case, due to an upsurge in coronavirus cases, the educational institutes will be closed
The third wave of the COVID-19 is rapidly spreading, due to which the government has announced to close the institutes in the selected areas of Punjab. But the Sindh Education Minister is not in favor of shutdown institutes.
