The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is a government university situated in Islamabad, Pakistan. It was established in 1974. The university is the fourth biggest higher education organization in the world. The AIOU is an appealing choice for individuals in the private universities of Pakistan who are unable to afford extremely costly education. Online learning is mostly provided to the students free of a charge or at a minimum price.
In academic disciplines, AIOU provides comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
For the time being the news is that AIOU has re-launched capacity building classroom preparation programs (MEd and BEd).
BEd program:
The university has provided a one-and-half-year (1.5 years) BEd program with the qualification of MA/MSc.
The second division of BS/BA (four years honors) is eligible for entry to the program.
MEd program:
The MEd one-year program includes five classes:
- Elementary teacher education
- Teacher education
- Distance and non-formal education
- Special education
- Science education
Others:
Other four-year courses like elementary education, secondary teacher education and science education.
Last date of Admission:
Admissions will stay available until October 15 in programs of varying duration.
