The Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar has initiated the flagship program called “Hunarmand Nojawan” for the empowerment of youth in Pakistan. The program has launched on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Expo Center. The program is launched with the collaboration of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA).

The Government of Punjab has initiated several programs for the empowerment of youth. So that the young students and the unemployed youth can get find jobs by getting the complete training needed for technical jobs. The purpose of Hunarmand Jawan program is to empower youth by giving them professional technical training and hands-on experience. 

The purpose of this program is to enhance the rate of employment in Punjab under the Punjab Growth Strategy 2023. The program is worth 1.5 billion rupees. Initially, the program will train 150,000 youths, but the program will expand after the successful outcomes. The program will develop and aims to cover 875,000 more young people.

Courses:

There are several courses under this program that students can learn and pursue their careers in related fields. There are round about 56 courses designed according to the latest trends in IT and Business fields. The courses include Virtual Assistant for Amazon, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. The best part is that these courses are free of cost.

Courses for Women:

The Government of Punjab is also paying attention to the empowerment of women. TEVTA is already providing courses specially designed for women so that they can earn by at home. Hunarmand Nojawan program covers not only the males, but it also includes 19 courses that are specially designed for women so that women can also earn easily. The program will train over 11,665 women. TEVTA will provide training to the women in 167 female institutes.
