In a recent letter from FDE, the directorate announced the dress code for all teaching and non-teaching staff. FDE wrote the letters to all institutes head containing the complete details regarding the dresses of teachers in the institutes. However, FDE also instructed the heads to implement the dress code and personal hygiene mentioned in the letter.

Personal hygiene includes proper haircut, beard trimming, nail cutting and perfumes etc. however, FDE also instructed that gatekeepers should be in the uniform. At the same time, institutes also allocate uniforms to the supporting staff. 

Dress Code for Staff

Regarding the dress code, FDE instructed the teachers to wear teaching gowns in the classroom and lab coats during the lab classes. However, the letters also contain the detail regarding the formal dresses of male and female teachers.

The females’ formal dresses include decent salwar Qameez, trousers, shirts with shawl/dupatta. However, females can wear a scarf for the purdah. At the same time, female teachers can wear formal shoes only. Slippers are not allowed. However, female teachers are also not allied to wear jeans and tights in the schools. 

However, for the male teachers, wearing Shalwar Qamewez with a decent waistcoat according to the weather is allowed. They can also wear dress shirts having full sleeves with a tie. However, they can’t wear t-shirts and jeans in the institutes.
