Fpsc Test Pre-Selection Criteria 2020
Federal Public Service Commission has issued a new policy for the selection process of BPS-16 to BPS-21. FPSC has merit-based selection criteria for the candidates of different levels.

Criteria for BPS-16 and BPS-17 posts
- If there are max, twenty candidates apply, then the commission will hold screening test (MCQs) and interviews according to the eligibility conditions.
- If there will be more than 20 candidates, then qualifying candidates will get 25% in the screening test.
- To maintain the competition, after screening test FPSC will arrange descriptive tets.
- If twenty thousand (20,000) candidates are received, then both screening and descriptive tests will be held in batches.
- 90% accuracy in typing tests are mandatory for those posts in which typing, shorthand, and computer literacy have to be held.
Criteria for BPS-18 and BPS-19 posts
- For these posts, candidates should have to pass a written test consists of two papers. Paper one will be of English essay and grammar while paper two of public administration and public management and human resource, financial management, quality management, and IT.
- For professional and teaching posts, paper two criteria will be changed.
Criteria for BPS-20 and BPS-21 posts
- The written test consists of one paper having 100 marks (English essay and case study relevant to the post).
- 50% of the written test is mandatory for qualification
- Only qualifying candidates will be called for interview.
