HowHEC Research Award 2021
The Higher Education Commission HEC started a Research Award Ceremony for the year 2021. These award categories include Best Researcher, Best Young researcher, and best publication. The Higher Education Commission distributes cash prizes and a certificate to the winners.
Pakistani researchers/scholars who wish to apply can submit applications for the HEC Research Awards competition. However, the main objective of the HEC Research Awards is to recognize and reward excellence in research, contributions to intellectual development, and social welfare and promote publications with higher impact. Therefore, the eligible candidate has a good chance to avail this offer and will apply today
HEC Research Awards Disciplinary Domains
Furthermore, HEC awarded separate awards in three various broad disciplinary domains. The details are as under
- Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Law, Education, Management, or Public Policy
- Physical Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
- Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Agriculture, or Veterinary Sciences
HEC Research Award Categories:-
Best Researcher
The first award is the Best Researcher. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 500,000/-. This award is given to that person who wins the heart of the researcher through intellectual and social development writings. However, it is a lifetime achievement award.

Best Young Researcher:-
The Best young researcher award presented to a person whose age is under 40. The winner receives a cash prize of Rs 500,000/- He/she selected on the basis of their further research, addressing or resolving social problems, and enhancing the quality of research in Pakistan.

Best Publication:-
Last but not the least is Best Publication. The winner of this category will receive Rs. 1,000,000/-
Eligibility Criteria:-
- Eligible candidate will never be backlisted by HEC
- The applicant who already received the above-mentioned award are not eligible to apply
- Research article must be plagiarism free as per HEC Plagiarism policy
- For the best researcher, the Applicant must be a Pakistan resident for at least three years from January 01, 2021
- Those who want to apply for publication must not be more than three years from January 01, 2021
- For a best young researcher, the Applicant must be a Pakistan resident for at least one years from January 01, 2021
- Only Research articles published in a W-category journal in HEC Journal Recognition System (HJRS) are eligible
