According to the latest HEC notification, it is to inform all Higher Education Commission find the non-recognized and illegal campuses of universities. However, HEC warns students not to take admissions in institutions whose names appeared on non-recognized campuses. The degrees of the students enrolled in any degree program in these institutions will not be recognized by HEC. Therefore, HEC listed the campuses in this regard.
Moreover, HEC, after a complete investigation, recognizes degrees of chartered universities/higher education institutions (HEls) from the public and private sector in Pakistan and their approved campuses at specific places as mentioned on the HEC website. In addition to that,
Private sector HEls not allowed to grant affiliation. They can only operate through their accredited Main Campus and accredited campus/sub-campus having No Objection Certificate (NOC) of HEC as reflected on the HEC website. HEC strictly ordered students not to take admission in such unlawful/unrecognized campuses; otherwise, the degrees such institute will consider fake, illegal, unlawful, and unrecognized. Before getting admission, an applicant must verify the recognition status of the university/institution or its campuses from the HEC website/regional offices.
