HEC Law Admission test (LAT) 2020
HEC has announced the LAT test pattern, syllabus, and last date to apply. LAT (Law Admission Test) is for those students who want to take admission in the undergraduate LLB degree. After passing the LAT, students can get admission in any HEC/ PBC recognized university or affiliated institutions.
Last Date to Apply:
HEC has extended the date of the LLB LAT Test 2020. Before this, 29 July 2020 was the last date to apply. Now the extended date is 23 August 2020. So those candidates who can’t apply before must grab this opportunity.
Eligibility Criteria for LAT Law Admission Test
- The students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/grade 12 education or the students who have appeared in the exams and now waiting for the result.

Date of Examination
- The date of the test will be announced on the HEC website www.hec.gov.pk and http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
- The applicant’s process will be able to download their roll number slip from http://etc.hec.gov.pk on the registered email address a week before the test date.
- Email/SMS will also be sent for the test date, time, and venue to registered applicants. While filling out the online application form, the candidates are required to provide an email/mobile number on which the applicant wishes to receive the Roll No. slip.
- The test center, once selected, will not be changed.
- A print of Roll No. Slip and original CNIC will be required to enter the Test Center on Test Date.
Details of Examination Centers
The examination centers will be held in major cities. Applicants may select any Test/Examination center from the list available in the application form.

How to Register
- For the registration purpose: visit the following link http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
- The application submission comprises two steps: profile completion using the “My Profile” section and application submission using the “Law Admission Test” link on the menu panel on the left-hand sidebar of the online portal.
- Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered for LAT, and applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained.
- The test fee is Rs.500 must be deposited online/ATM in the Account # 17427900133401, Account title “ Higher Education Commission, Bank, HBL, Branch Code: 1742.
- Applicants have to send a copy of ATM/Online transfer/ Deposit slip to the given address by courier.
- Applicants must mention their CNIC number at the backside of the Deposit slip.
- Address: Room # 13-209, 2nd Floor, HRD Building, HEC, H-8, Islamabad.
