Law Graduate Assessment Test 2021
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) announced a Law GAT test 2021 and registration dates for law graduates. The LAW-GAT test is also compulsory for LLB students to get admission in the law field. Thus, applicants can submit the application form by visiting the official HEC site (ETC portal). However, the last date to apply for a Law GAT extended till 8 May 2021. There is a possibility that HEC will conduct the test on 30 May 2021.
Law- GAT
Law-GAT is compulsory to pass for those candidates who want to practice law for the advocate position. However, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) over-handed this authority to the HEC to take the Law assessment Test.
Law-Gat is MCQs type paper, and 50% marks are compulsory to secure to clear the test. However, an applicant can attempt the Law-GAT test three times.
Centers For Law-Gat
HEC will conduct the LAW Gat in 14 cities of Pakistan so that candidates can select one city according to choice that are:
- Islamabad
- Lahore
- Faisalabad
- Multan
- Bahawalpur
- Hyderabad
- Karachi
- Abbottabad
- Sukkur
- Peshawar
- Muzaffarabad
- Quetta
- Turbat
- Gilgit
As candidates can select any exam center of their choice, but a center can occupy only 100 applicants. If a center already has 100 applicants, then candidates have to attempt the test in any other center mentioned above.

How to apply for LAW GAT 2021
- Candidates can apply for the Law Graduate assessment test (GAT) https://etc.hec.gov.pk.
- Candidates have to deposit RS 3,000 test fees through ATM or online in A/C # 01127900567403, A/C Title, Higher Education Commission Bank, HBL, Branch Code 0112. HEC will not accept the bank draft or pay order.
- You have to post the original fee deposit slip to the Room # 13-209, 2nd floor, HRD Building, HEC, H-8, Islamabad through a courier.
