Due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, the school Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood shut down all educational institutes in Punjab from 15th March to 28th March 2021. According to the Higher Education Department (HED) officials, the Higher Education Department permits all universities and colleges to hold exams till 28th March 2021 with the proper implementation of SOPs. The Vice-Chancellor will be responsible in case of any violation. In Lahore, only half the strength of schools allowed students to sit in the schools till Friday. However, the paper will take strictly preventative measures. Not only this, in some schools two papers have placed in one day
Earlier, Murad Raas issued a notification in which he stated that the schools can take the exams till 19th March 2021, and afterward, the schools will be closed completely. Other than this, the Punjab Education Minister also notified him to conduct an entry test and sendup as per schedule. They make announcements in various areas of Punjab such as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sargodha.
