The Hokkaido University of Japan has announced the scholarships 2021. Willing applicants can submit their applications for the scholarship. They are offering Hokkaido University President Scholarships for the Master’s Degree & Ph.D. Degree programs. It is a fully-funded scholarship financed by the Government of Japan. Candidates from all over the world are free to apply for these scholarships. The period of the Master scholarship is two years & the period of the Doctoral scholarship is three years.

Hokkaido Scholarship Detail

There is no such requirement of understanding the Japanese language. IELTS/TOEFL for the scholarships. You have to submit an English language proficiency certificate from your university. A large number of academic fields are available. Boasting the largest number of faculties of Japan’s national universities, they cover almost all areas of the humanities and social and natural sciences and is a leader in research activities in Japan and the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applying candidate must belong to somewhere else other than Japan.
• Candidates applying for a Master’s degree must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• Candidates applying for a Doctoral degree must have a Master’s degree.
• Applicants must be born on or after 2nd April 1985.
•  Candidate must submit an English Language Proficiency Certificate from University.

Types of Scholarship:

Let’s have a look at the two types of Scholarships offered by Hokkaido University. These scholarships are to study for Masters or Ph.D. Degree programs.   

Hokkaido University President Scholarship:

The Hokkaido University President Scholarship is for the students who are planning to enroll in Master’s, Professional/Doctoral Degree programs in October 2021. The timespan of a Master’s degree is two years & of a Ph.D. degree is three years.

Hokkaido University MEXT University Scholarship:

The Hokkaido University MEXT University Scholarship is for the students who are planning to enroll in a Master’s or Ph.D. Degree Programs.

Financial Coverage:

The Government of Japan will bear most of the expenses of International candidates. Details of monthly allowance are as follow:

• • 144,000 Yen per month (for a candidate for a Master’s Program).
  • 145,000 Yen per month (for a candidate for a Doctoral Program).

5. Return Tickets are available for them.
