Impact of COVID-19 in Pakistan

According to research, Pakistan is one of the countries where schools remain closed for a long period during COVID-19. Now, it’s the third time within a year that schools are closed. Firstly, all the educational institutes remain closed for 5-6 months, from March to September, across Pakistan. Then, the government closed the institutes in November-December due to COVID-19 and from December to 10 January for the winter holidays. Now, due to the rise of COVID-19 third wave danger, all the educational institutes in various cities of Punjab will remain closed from 15-28 March 2021. 

Due to the closure of schools, the education of a lot of students suffers. There are many students whose parents are not educated, and they didn’t get any tuition during these periods. Thus, they faced a lot of loss of education. 

However, to compensate for this loss, the government decided to conduct online classes. Thus, all public and private institutes started classes from home. But, there is also a difficulty that several students aren’t able to attend the online classes due to the lack of resources.  

Other impacts of COVID-19

The closure of schools did not impact the students and education only, but it also affected the countries’ economies. Thus, we can say that COVID-19 has affected lives a lot. Therefore, the government took such steps by which the educational system would not affect. As education is the key for the progress of youngsters as well as countries.
