According to the details, the University of Karachi rejected the Higher Education Decision (HEC) decision to end two years degree programs and introduce Associate degree programs on a semester basis. The Vice-Chancellor(VC) of Karachi University, Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi, also conducted a meeting with the KU administration to get some suggestions regarding ending a two-year degree program. However, they also not agreed with the HEC order, and the VC of Karachi University once again rejected the HEC decision. After getting a suggestion, Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi sent a letter to the HEC Chairman and asked to conduct a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor’s Forum of 187 public and private universities across the country. By doing this, they conclude the final result by getting a notion from other Universities Vice-Chancellors.
