The latest notification is that the Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED) failed to deliver textbooks to millions of students. This is because the Finance Department does not issue the number of funds requested by the ESED. Because of this, the KPK textbook Board cannot print the books.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board had demanded Rs. 9 billion for printing textbooks. However, Finance Department only released Rs. 4 billion and asked ESED to finance the remaining amount through its resources. According to the details, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department clarified that it would not allow KPTB to finance the printing through its resources. The Finance Department must also provide the remaining amount.
Every year, KPTB delivers and prints books in April. The KPK students receive books on result day along with summer vacation homework. However, it did not happen this year. It is the moral duty of KPK ESED to deliver books so students can start their education careers. For more details, keep visiting FSc Online website.
