To provide quality and higher education to the KPK students, the Khyber Pakhtun Khawan government decided to develop 40 new colleges this year. According to the details, Higher Education Department in a recent press release announced this news. As per details, the new colleges included 13 for boys and 27 for girls, adding that keeping in view the shortage of girls colleges especially in far flung areas, the government had decided to construct more of them.

Other than that, Law Colleges and 30 Models Colleges also established throughout the province. The purpose of establishing new colleges is to facilitate the local youth to get higher education in their own respective areas instead of travelling to other districts on high expenses. According to the recent news, approximately 303 colleges are fully functional across the province including 177 colleges for male students and 126 for females. Furthermore, 67 colleges are under construction including 29 colleges for female students.
