The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has extended the winter vacations of educational institutes till 7 January 2020 due to extreme weather.

The weather in Pakistan is extreme these days and keeping in view the extreme cold and fog; the KPK Government has decided to extend the vacations.

Earlier, the parents were concerned about their children going to school in such cold and fog weather. Government officials took the decision because of the demand of the parents.

According to the first notification, the vacations were to be started from December 22, 2019, and reopen on January 1, 2020. But now the schools and other educational institutes will reopen on January 7, 2020.

The Punjab Government and the Balochistan Government has extended the winter holidays while Sindh Government did not extend the holidays.
