Due to the alarming smog condition, the Lahore High Court made a big decision regarding the closure of schools. The LHC decided to shut down all educational institutes in Punjab on November 18 to curb smog. They recommended a two-day remote work for employers. Not only this, they also imposed a “smog emergency” on Nov 1 in Lahore to take immediate measures to rein in the hazardous air quality, which is in the ‘poor’ rating bracket. Preventing all school-going kids is our foremost duty; therefore, the government decided to close schools for two days.
