Major Lockdown in Various Cities
Recently, the Punjab Government announced the lockdown in Punjab, especially in seven cities of Punjab. The Punjab Government decided to impose the lockdown due to the danger of the COVID-19 third wave. Thus, from today, 15 March 2021, there will be a significant lockdown in Punjab for the next two weeks. So, all educational institutes, cinemas, and shrines will remain closed during this period. However, the government also asked to avoid indoor and outdoor gatherings.
Punjab Cities where lockdown imposed
Below are the names of those cities where the Punjab Government announced the major lockdown.
- Lahore
- Rawalpindi
- Sargodha
- Multan
- Faisalabad
- Gujranwala
- Gujrat
These are the areas where the Punjab Health department ordered to stop the movement to people within and outside of the districts. However, all kinds of marriage halls will also remain closed. At the same time, the government also banned indoor gatherings completely. However, the limitation for the outdoor meeting is a maximum of 50 candidates.
Markets and Offices during Lockdown
According to the news, commercial activities, markets, etc., will not open after 6:00 PM. However, on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, all marketplaces will remain closed completely. At the same time, the amusement parks also will remain open till 6:00 PM every day.
The private and Public offices will follow the policy to work from home for 50pc of their staff across Punjab.
