On 19 May 2021, the National Command Operation Center (NCOC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Mr Asad Umer to review the COVID-19 situation. In the meeting, some other members were also linked through the Video. Thus, after the detailed review on the situation, the NCOC took some NPIs whose details are below. Sectors Opening on 24 May 2021
According to the decision, the following sectors/organizations will open from 24 May 2021 under the implementation of SOPs.
- Outdoor Restaurants till 23:59 hours. However, takeaways allowed for 24/7.
- Tourism sector under stringent COVID-19 protocol.
- Educational institutes (Staggered manner) in the districts having less than 5% positivity of COVID-19.
Sectors Opening After 01 June 2021
The following sectors will be open after or on 01 June 2021. However, the NCOC will review the situation again on 27 May 2021.
- Outdoor marriage ceremonies with Maximum 150 people
- Institutes opening that didn’t open on 24 May 2021.
Places that will Remain Closed till Further order
For the following places, NCOC didn’t announce any opening schedule. Thus, these places will remain closed till the next order.
- Shrines
- Cinemas
- Indoor dining
- Indoor gyms
- Amusement parks except jogging/walking
- Contact sports, festivals, cultural and other events
- Indoor / outdoor gathering
- Interprovincial public transport for two days, saturday and Sunday, wef 22 May 2021
Sectors already opened from 17 May 2021
- Normal office working hours with 50% staff
- Market activities with closure by 8:00 PM
- Public transport with 50% capacity
- Railways with 70% occupancy
Some Miscellaneous Decisions
- Compliance to compulsory mask wearing
- Continuation of in- bound and land border polity till further decision
- Elective surgeries will reopen from 01 June 2021
- HSSC and SSC exams will be after 20 June 2021.
Thus, NCOC will review the detailed situation on 27 May 2021 and 07 June 2021 respectively.
