The Punjab Government issued a notice regarding the Punjab Annual School Census 2022-23 through the School Information System (SIS). The Programme Monitoring and Information Unit Punjab published a letter on 25 October 2022 regarding the school census will complete information. The notification stated that PMIU conducts the Annual School Census on 31 October 2022 every year.
This year, the Punjab School Census 2022-23 will be online on 21 November 2022 through the School Information System (SIS). On School Census day (21 NOvember 2022), the institutes will log in to their SIS portals and submit the updated data. PMIU also instructed the District Education Officials (CEOs to AEOs) to visit the institute and ensure the completion of activities efficiently.

The Data Submission on the SIS will be into two phases: The mock Exercise and the Final Phase.
- Mock Exercise: During the mock exercises, the public institutes will enter and update the data from 27 October 2022 to 15 November 2022.
- Final Phase: In the Final Phase, the submission done during the mock exercises will be removed, and schools will submit the final census on 21 November 2022.
PMIU Instructions regarding the Submission of DATA on SIS
The Programme Monitoring and Information Unit (PMIU) instructed that school heads submit the Data on SIS that are below:
- Ensure all SIS input Fields (students, teachers, and Staff records & School Facilities)
- Submit the form on 21 November 2022 by clicking the Submit Census Form button in SIS App.
- School heads will print out the submitted form, sign & stamp the census form, and submit it to the relevant AEO/DMO office.
