According to the recent statement of CM Usman Buzdar, the govt will start the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Lahore. Under this project, the government will order 35,000 apartments with an affordable instalment plan.
Other than that, housing minister Mahmood-ur-Rashid also gave some statements about the housing projects last month. He talked about the hurdles and difficulties that they face during the process. He said that the process of approving the housing scheme was a bit difficult. But now, all the problems have been resolved.
On this topic, he further said that the Punjab government had worked a lot for the Lahore Development Authority. And the purpose is to prompt the businesses in Lahore.
Regarding finance, he stated that at the start, banks were not ready to finance the housing project. Thus, the State Bank of Pakistan took a step to fund it. Now, banks have to allocate 5% for the housing sector.
