Today, on 10 June 2020, the School Education Department, Govt. of Punjab issued a notification (Notification No.SO(A-1)1-31/2008) about promoting the primary and middle classes’ students to the next class.
A meeting was held, in which the Inter-provincial Education Minister Committee decided to promote all public and private school students up to class 8 to the next class without annual examination. The government made this decision to promote the students, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a possibility that schools will remain closed until January 2021.
