Schools will Remain Shut down till 11th April; Says NCOC

On Wednesday, National Command and Centre Operation (NCOC) conducted a meeting to take decisions regarding the closure of schools. After getting suggestions from other board members, they finalize to shut down the schools till April 11, 2021. As the number of coronavirus rapidly increasing day by day, therefore after reviewing the current COVID-19 situation, Punjab education minister after NCOC meeting decided to close schools in the following cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Sheikhupura. However, the remaining districts will open on the previous schedule,”

Muraad Raas recently tweeted the post regarding the closure of educational institutes.

According to the details, in the last three weeks, coronavirus active cases have doubled while the positivity ratio has remained above 8% in the last few days. Therefore, Sindh Education minister took a decision to shut down schools in areas where there is a high ratio of COVID-19 cases, while the other districts will keep the school open.
