The School Education Departmant of Punjab issued the latest notification regarding the election holidays. Due to the upcoming general elections on 8th February, the Provincial Cabinet has officially announced that all public and private sector schools, colleges, and universities in Punjab will be closed from Feb 6th to Feb 9th, 2024. The polling stations are established on school premises and teachers perform election duty during general elections. All Chief Executive Officers in Punjab and Head/Principal of public sector educational institutes are directed to ensure compliance and spirit. The SED Punjab also issued the letter in this regard.

Therefore in Punjab there will be holidays in schools colleges and universities. 4th February is Sunday, 5th February is Kashmir Day Holiday, 6th,7th,8th and 9th February are Elections Holidays.Not only this, Mohsin Naqvi also stated that the 9:30 AM timing for schools will only be observed till 3rd February.
