Due to the chilly cold weather, the School Education Department SED Punjab decided to change the school timings for special children all over the Punjab province. The new school timings will be in place from January 10 to the end of February. Under the updated schedule, schools will start at 9 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, except on Fridays when the school day ends at noon. All applicants must follow this newly issued schedule.
Not only this, they also give relaxation to students for dress code. The students can now wear the sweaters and jerseys of their own choice with their uniforms. Previously, the provincial government had extended the winter vacations due to the intense cold temperature, keeping all public and private educational institutions closed until January 9. Initially, schools were supposed to reopen on January 1, but the provincial authorities prolonged the winter break due to the cold weather.
