Implementation of SOPs in Punjab Schools

  1. The coverage of final terms will consist of a complete syllabus.
  2. The PEC  will upload item banks and schools will generate their unique papers using IBS from their specific school login. They will also ensure that the schools conduct the same. Any deviation will not be considered SBA as per the approved assessment policy framework, The SED will take appropriate action against the delinquent schools/ districts.
  3. For all the question papers except for English & Urdu, the SED will provide bilingually and the school will generate papers either in English or Urdu as per their convenience.
  4. Every school will have to create a question paper by logging into the Items bank system (IBS) with a QR code showing complete information about the school with an EMIS code (which can be scanned through any QR code Scanning App).
  5. Standardized making will ensure that by using keys and rubrics available with the papers in IBS teachers will be constrained from making their classes rather principals/headmasters/ head teachers will ensure “cross marking” of paper by engaging teachers of other classes of schools.
  6. The system-generated paper of each subject (Grades 3 to 8 Has both parts (MCQs & CRQs ); be two pages (one leaf ) except for grades 1 & 2 where only one question paper will be provided for an initial assessment.
