On 20th April 2021, the chairperson of Sindh Education made a new decision. According to the details, Sindh Education Minister said that conduction of intermediate and matric board exams might not be possible. Due to lack of funds, the SSC and HSSC board exams might get cancelled. In a recent letter, the government of Sindh had to provide a grant of over Rs. 3 billion to the boards. However, it has not granted. Also, the salaries of employees pending.
Some of the board do not agree to take annual board exams of HSSC and SSC. Apart from all these, the chairperson of the Sukkur board said that boards will have to conduct examinations by begging” if the provincial government fails to issue the grant. Similarly, the chairperson of the Hyderabad board said that the teachers are backing off from work due to non-payment. In 2020, the board exams in all provinces got cancelled.
