In a recent press conference, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani decided to reopen the educational institutions only for students of class 9 and above. Earlier, NCOC decided to reopen all educational institutions from 7th June 2021. But after reviewing the current situation of COVID-19, when the coronavirus positivity ratio is quite lower, he decided to resume physical classes all over the province. The Sindh government instructed all teaching, non-teaching and students to follow standard operating procedures.

Apart from this, the government of Pakistan announced that the students will attend the classes on alternate days with 50% attendance. Moreover, they also instructed students to follow the SOPs in order to protect from the deadly virus. Moreover, they made it mandatory for all students to wear masks and maintain social distance while attending the physical classes. The government will continuously monitor the implementation of SOPs in all the educational institutes for the safety of the students and teachers.
