NSTC-18 Registration
STEM has announced the 18th National Science Talent Contest (NSTC-18) in the International Science Olympiad. However, STEM is an initiative of the Pakistan government to promote education in Science and Technology related fields. STEM Career Programs are a joint venture of the Higher Education Commission and PIEAS. So, those candidates who will participate in the contest and win will get various benefits. However, the last date of Registration for NSTC-18 is 30 April 2021.
Eligibility Criteria for NSTC-18
Those students who want to participate in NSTC-18 must fulfill the following criteria.
- Students of Pre 9th,9th, 10th OR Intermediate (Part-I), having 60% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in the last exam.
- Students of O-Levels (Part-I, II, III) or A-Level (Part-I) with 60% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in the last exam.
- Those students currently studying in FSC(Part-II)/A- Level (Part-II) & University students are not eligible to apply.
- Age less than 20 years on 30 June 2022.
- Students of SINDH BOARD/Technical Boards/O-Level Part-1/A Level Part-1 to complete the online registration form, they may first enter the marks of optional Science subjects and then enter the marks% of any other subjects (if required).
- For O/A Levels Students, equivalent percentages for Grades are:
- A*= 90
- A=85
- B= 75
- C=65
- D = 55
- E= 45
Screening Test Cities
For the NSTC-18, the government will make the test centers in 19 different cities. That is:

- Bahawalpur
- Sargodha
- Gujranwala
- Gujrat
- Faisalabad
- Lahore
- D J Khan
- Abbottabad
- Peshawar
- Sukkur
- Chitral
- Swat
- Hyderabad
- Karachi
- Muzaffarabad
- Gilgit
- Quetta
Benefits
- Winners will get the certificates and cash prizes
- They will also get the chance to represent Pakistan in the International Science Olympiad. Such as:
- International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in America
- International Chemistry Olympiad (ICO) in China
- Physics Olympiad (IPO) in Belarus
- International Maths Olympiad (IMO) in Norway
- The olympiads team members will be able to enroll in the PIEAS BS Programs without entrance fees.
How to APply for NSTC-18
- Candidates can register themselves for NSTC-18 through the STEM Website (https://stem.edu.pk/registration).
- Candidates gave to deposit Rs 800/- fee as processing fee.
- The last date is 30 April 2021.
