TEVTA Decided to waive off the Fees

According to a piece of recent news, TEVTA (Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) decided to waive the fees for students. Thus, according to the announcement, TEVTA provides a fee waiver to around 01 lac students, approximately 32 crores. 

The reason for this fee waiver is to help financially unstable students. A lot of students in the vocational institutes are from low-income families. Also, they faced a lot of problems during COVID-19. Thus, for those, the Punjab Government decided not to take fees from those students to continue their studies.

On this topic, TEVTA Chief Operating Officer also talked. He said that there are around 01 lac seventy thousand students in the vocational institutes of Punjab. More of the students are from the financially unstable family. 

Due to this step of the Punjab government, a lot of students can pursue their studies without any worry. TEVTA offers various 04-year degrees, diplomas, courses, etc.
