Vacant Seats in Punjab colleges
According to the resource, there are around 6000 vacant seats for the teachers in Punjab Colleges. Previously, PPSC has announced 8000 teacher vacancies, but only 2000 seats have been occupied. So, around 6000 seats are still vacant, causing a shortage of teachers in the college and will affect the future of students. Before this, to overcome the shortage of teachers, Department announced hiring the College internees. According to the details, in 790 colleges of Punjab, many seats for the teachers are empty. So, because of the absence of teachers, students are facing difficulties in education. There is also news that as govt institute can’t provide quality education to the students because of shortage of teachers, a lot of students moving towards the private institutes. So, hopefully, the Education department will take some serious steps and announce the teaching vacancies as soon as possible.
