According to the latest news, it is to announce that 99% of the teachers failed to pass the Junior Teacher Recruitment Test (JEST). Only 1% of candidates hardly pass this exam. Every year, the IBA Sukkur Testing Service conducts the test and recruit thousands of teachers. But this time, they recruited 46500 teachers, and only 1250 from 162,000 had passed this test. The other candidates fail to pass this Junior recruitment test. In a recent meeting, the Former Minister for Education, Saeed Ghani, stated that we had received 500,000 applications for the Junior Recruitment Test, and only 1% of people can pass this exam.
Due to the worse condition of the COVID-19, the JEST recruitment test got delayed. But now, after the conduction of JEST exams, they conclude that only a few teachers pass these exams. The rest of the others considered to fail or unable to clear the exams. JEST test conducted to hire teachers in various government schools like junior and elementary schools, SLT and other staff members. Moreover, Sindh’s Minister for Education and Culture, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, disappointed with such bad results.
