Just like other universities, Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU also decided to postpone upcoming exams which scheduled to begin from November 26. Due to the second wave of COVID-19, Shafqat Mehmood announced to shut down all educational institutes including universities and colleges. Therefore, the Vice-chancellor of AIOU took the decision to delay the exam date. Now the exams of the Semester Spring, 2020 not conducted as per schedule. However, this notification is not applicable to those who apply for online examinations like overseas students.
On Monday, the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Zia Ul Qayyum conducted a high-level meeting in this regard. He also ordered the AIOU faculty and administration staff to strictly follow the SOPs with great spirit. Added more, he also announced to conduct online workshops of Autumn 2020 semester
