Benefits of the CommonWealth Scholarships 2021-22
There are different benefits for these scholarships programs and they provide many financial and educational benefits such as:
- Full tuition will be free.
- The scholar will receive a monthly stipend of about £1,116.
- If the scholar is from the London Metropolitan area, then he deserves the stipend of £1369.
- Return tickets will be provided to the scholars.
- Scholars will be provided with student travel grants.
- Allowance for warm clothing will be provided.
- For parents who are single, widow or divorced, the first child allowance will be £476/month, and the second and third child will get an allowance of £118.
(for this allowance, the age of children must be under 16 years.)
Eligibility Criteria:
There is a set criteria for the scholars who want to enroll in the scholarship program.
- The scholar must be a commonwealth country citizen.
- He must be British-protected person.
- The applicant can also apply who has refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth Country.
- The applicant can also apply who has permanent residence in a commonwealth country.
- At the time of confirmation of scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled in a PhD program in any known university of the Commonwealth Country.
- The link collaboration is needed between the applicant’s host country and the UK’s university.
- For confirmation of eligibility of the candidate, the supportive details must be provided by both the University’s professors.
Application Procedure
There is a procedure for submission of applications for CommonWealth Scholarships.
- The applicant must apply to the university program with funding agreement with a commonwealth scholarship country. The list of part-funding universities is given below:
- The application is submitted directly to Commonwealth scholarship countries by using the CSC online application system.
- The application that is not submitted via the application system will not be accepted.
Documents requirement:
There are some documents needed for enrollment:
- Copy of passport or national ID which shows a clear picture and complete personal details of applicant.
- Complete last attended educational details.
- Supporting statement of the supervisor from the home country.
- Supporting statement of the supervisor from Uk’s university.
- A reference letter from another individual.

- All applications submit by 17:00 (GMT) on 02 August 2021.
- Supporting documentation by 17:00 (GMT) on 23 August 2021
