Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood ordered all educational institutes, including schools and colleges, to remain open. He finally dismisses the fake news regarding school closure and officially announces their own decision. On 5th November 2020, the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers meeting held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood to take the final decision regarding the closing or opening of educational institutes. All well-known educational authorities of different provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, took part in this conference through video link. Moreover, they further discuss the winter holidays and the transition from April to August.
The participant who attended the meeting further says that closing the educational institute is not the only option in this critical situation. They haven’t taken any decision to start the new academic session in August. According to the details, the Federal Education minister also scheduled the next meeting to discuss winter vacations reduction.
