The Federal Government recently issued a notification regarding the Disparity Reduction Allowance for the Civil employees. The govt has approved the 15% Disparity Reduction Allowance on the Basic pay of the employees. However, the announced allowance is for the BPS 01-19 federal government employees. Thus, those employees who never get an additional allowance, allowances equal to or more than 100% of basic pay, performance allowance are eligible. Thus, the eligible federal govt employees will get the Disparity allowance from 01 March 2022.
Conditions for DRA 2022
The Federal government also mentioned the conditions for the eligibility of 15% Duispartity Reduction Allowance.
- Employees who received additional allowances, performances allowances, or equal or more than 100% of basic pay allowances are not eligible.
- DRA Allowance will be frozen at the level drawn on 01 March 2022
- Income tax will be subject to this allowance.
- Employees will get DRA allowance during Leaves or LPR entire period except during extraordinary leave.
- Disparity Reduction allowance will be admissible to employees during their tenure or deputation abroad.
- The term of Basic pay will also include the amount of personal pay granted on account of annual increment.
