We have a piece of good news to share with all the street hawkers. We feel glad to announce that the government has taken a fantastic initiative to benefit the street hawkers by launching the Ehsaas initiative. Establishing this Ehsaas Street Hawker aims to satisfy the socio-economic uplift. Firstly, this program will launch in the Islamabad Capital ith a collaboration among the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), and the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) under Mazdoor Ka Ehsaas program.

Under this Ehsaas initiative, around 200 vendors in Islamabad have received vending licenses. The license issued by the municipality and new eco-friendly carts. One of the beneficiaries, Syed Tahir Sardar, was happy that any government heeded the concerns of the street vendors. It is the first time in Pakistan’s history that any government pays attention, shows concern to help the street vendors, and takes steps to ensure their respectable earnings by providing them with a legal license certificate.
