The Higher Education Commission HEC issued the detailed Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) registration schedule. Every year, the HEC conducts the HAT test. They awarded the scholarship to only those candidates who successfully passed the HAT test. Therefore, the HEC HAT test is mandatory for admission to MS/M Phil programs. Those who are interested can apply before the due date. The last date for submission of the HEC HAT test is 28th January 2024.
Applicants who have already applied for MS/MPhil admission or HEC scholarships and intend to apply for HEC-sponsored scholarships or admission to MS/MPhil programs in any HEC-recognized university may apply for registration.

How to Apply for HEC HAT Test 2023
- Interested candidates can visit the official HEC website.
- Application Submission comprises two steps: profile completion using the “My Profile” section and application submission using the “Higher Education Aptitude Test” links on the menu panel on the left-hand sidebar of the online portal.
- Only submitted applications will be considered for the test, and applications in Save or incomplete mode will not be entertained.
- The test fee for HAT is PKR 2000/- per candidate. Candidates will deposit the fee via 1Link 1bill invoice participating banks/ATM/Internet banking/Mobil App/EasyPessa/JazCash/UPaisa.
- Once You have selected 1Link 1bill service, open/sign in to your mobile app and click on bill payment or payment services.
- Click on 1bill invoice payment services and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC Portal. Once you see the details, pay the amount.
- Click on verify online payment on the ETC dashboard.
- The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
