On Monday, the Higher Education Commission HEC announces the phase-III of Prime Minister Wheelchair Scheme. This scheme is specially offered to the disabled students of the university. However, the Higher Education Commission launch electric wheelchairs for the ease of the students. Higher Education Commission HEC invites application for PM Electric Wheelchair scheme under phase-III. All those applicants who are eligible for this will apply before the deadline. The last date for submission of the application is 15th November 2021. Prime Minister of Pakistan took this amazing initiative for those who are unable to go to university due to the movement from one place to another because of paralysis. Eligibility Criteria:-
The candidate who is eligible for the electric wheelchair scheme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria before applying.
- Candidates must have physically and permanent ambulatory disability to such a degree that they are unable to move from one place to another without the aid of a wheelchair
- Not able to cross cribs because of paralysis and loss of functioning of legs
- Having one or both legs missing
- Have not received electric wheel chair in Phase 1 and 2
- Having a special certificate of disability or special person
Applying Procedure:-
- The candidate can apply by submitting the online application from the e-portal of HEC Scheme
- The candidate must take out the print of the application form. Attach all required documents and submit them to the respective Vice-Chancellor or any other designated person
- Incomplete application will not entertain
- Application received after due date got rejected
- Universities or any affiliated college must submit the eligible candidates’ list to in one transaction before 10th December 2021
