HEC decides not to promote students without exams
From the last few days, news regarding the promotion of university students without exams is circulating in social media and also said that all the online classes have stopped. HEC, now, has announced that this news is fake.
A tweet from the HEC official on 6 June shows that promoting university students without exams is impossible and confirms that news of promotion is just fake. Before this, university students gathered outside the HEC office in Islamabad and demanded that their full-semester fee be waived.
Students claimed that they are taking classes from their house and they are using their resources, i.e., WIFi or mobile internet. So, the government should reduce their semester fee. Students also demanded to promote themselves to the next semesters just like matric and intermediates students and even required to reduces their half fee of the semester.
