International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP), HEC announced a Fellowship for Ph.D. scholars. It is a six-month fellowship for all students enrolled in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir universities. For this program, HEC receives applications throughout the year and then evaluates it to award the fellowship quarterly.
HEC started this program, IRSIP, to create the linkage between Pakistani and foreign universities. HEC also wanted to increase the research capabilities of scholars through this program.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must enroll in a Doctoral degree in the universities of Pakistan/AJK.
- In Ph.D., coursework of at least 18 credit hours.
- Enrollment in the Ph.D. degree of 02-3.5 years
- Candidates must have passed the Ph.D. entry test at the time of admission.
- Candidates must have an approved Research topic and synopsis from BASR/DASR or the university’s equivalent body.
- Students must receive an invitation letter from a foreign university/laboratory. That university must be among the top 200 universities according to the Times Ranking of World universities.
- If any candidates receive any other scholarship, then heshe has to submit NOC with the application.
