After a long two years, the University of Karachi decided to conduct an annual examination of MBBS and BDS today. The test of patience over students anxiously waiting for Medical and Dental College (KMDC) annual exams 2019. Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) is the only medical college in Karachi affiliated with the KU. Last year, students raised their voices many times, but the authority rejected their requests again and again. Not only this, but they also approached administration and relevant officials, but they will not listen.
However, when the problem escalated, they proceeded towards the Sindh High Court, after which the KU examination department approved the request. Hence, KU decided to conduct the annual examinations for the students enrolled in the MBBS and BDS in three batches, including the first year, second year, and third year. Those aspirants who applied for MBBS and BDS admission in January 2019 will now appear in the annual exams for the first time.
Reason for Delayed MBBS and BDS Exams:-
- The major obstacle in conducting the exams was the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council because of the college’s examination system based on a semester system that changed to an annual design. Therefore, we delayed exams.
- On August 1, 2020, The college administration submitted examination forms and a covering letter; this is the second reason for overdue exams for the last two years.
