According to the latest notification, we are glad to inform all KMU Oncology students that Khyber Medical Institute will launch an advanced fellowship program in 2022 for MD Oncology. For this initiative, Khyber Medical University joint hands with the Institute of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine (IRNUM). They conducted a high-level meeting chaired by vice-chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq at the VC Secretariat. IRNUM is the well-known authoritative institution of cancer-related diseases in the province.
Not only this, but many other senior representatives took part in the meeting. Besides director IRNUM Dr. Akif Ullah Khan, director IBMS Dr. Inayat Shah, director of director Nursing Institute Dr. Dildar Khan, director IHPE&R Dr. Brekhna Jamil, and director representative IPH&SS Dr. Noman Arif and Incharge Family Medicine Dr. Jalil Khan attended the meeting. In a meeting, they share their opinion that firstly, they started MD Oncology as an advanced fellowship program and the Oncology track in the MSN program. Also, the KMU and IRNUM also collaborate to start M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars in various fields of IBMS, MHPE, MHR, Public Health, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics.
