During the FY 2022-23 Budget speech, the KPK Government also announced the increments in the government employees’ salaries and pensions. According to the details, the KP Government increased 16% the salaries of the government employees. However, the government also announced a 15% rise in pensions. In the Provincial Assembly, Finance Minister Taimoor Saleen Jaghra revealed the increments during his speech.
According to the news, a total of Rs 447.90 Billion has been allotted for the salaries and pensions. Out of this, Rs 107 Billon has kept for the Government employees pensions. The KPK Government has also announced the risk allowances for the Police employees of BPS-06-16.

During his speech, the Provincial Finance Minister talked about the pensioners and said that the government was setting up a pension fund. Now, the new employees will also include in the pension funds under the Contributory Pension Scheme.
Minister elaborated that if a new employee has Rs 50,000/-, the government will deposit 10% (Rs 5000) of his salary in the pension fund. He stated that money invested in the pension fund would help to boost the province’s economy.
