The Japanese government has announced scholarships for Pakistani teachers to conduct research on school education. It is a non-degree teachers training scholarship in a university in Japan. At the end of the training, the candidates will get the certificate. However, for the MEXT Training scholarship, the primary/secondary level teachers having at least five years of experience and a graduate degree can apply. The university in-service faculty are not eligible for the MEXT Training scholarship. Thus, interested candidates can apply for the MEXT Training scholarship by sending their documents to the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan. The last date for the MEXT Teachers Training scholarship is 28 January 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for the MEXT Teacher Training Scholarship

  • Candidates must be graduates of university or a Teacher Training school.
  • Applicants with at least 05 years of experience as primary/secondary educational institutes. teachers in the home country.
  • In-service university teachers are not eligible.
  • Those applicants who were born on/after 02 April 1987 will be eligible for the scholarship.

How to apply for the MEXT Training Scholarship

  • Download the application form from the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan website. (https://www.pk.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/MEXT_Teachers_Training.html)
  • Complete the form & send it to the provided address with all required documents
  • Enclose the form in an envelope and mark it as “MEXT teachers Training Scholarship.”
  • Address: Public Affairs Section, Embassy of Japan, Diplomatic Enclave 1, Islamabad
  • Last date: 28 January 2022
