Recently, School Education Minister Murad Raas announced the final decision regarding the school’s opening. As per the latest tweet, it is to inform you all that all private and public classes up to grade 6 will stagger (50% students each day) till February 16, 2022. However, grades 7 to 12 will follow the same schedule. This issued notification is only valid for Lahore and Karachi school institutions. In the last news, the Government restricted students’ attendance in the schools due to the rising cases of Coronavirus. As the COVID-19 rapidly increased all over Pakistan, the Punjab government decided to stagger the classes below 7.

Apart from all these, NCOC also made it mandatory to give a minimum of one dose for students whose age is above 12. Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decided to extend the COVID-19 curbs in the country from January 31 till February 15. The COVID-19 positivity rate increases rapidly in Lahore and Rawalpindi and does not slow down. Therefore, after consulting with NCOC, the Government decided to attend 50% of students in one day and the rest of the other is on the second day.
