It is to inform you that Primary schools will be open according to the previous time table. In a recent press release, the Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mehmood said that if the COVID-19 condition is under control that the school will reopen according to the previous schedule. After reviewing the COVID-19 condition, NCOC took the decision to reopen primary classes on September 30.
To remove the confusion of the people, the government started taking COVID-19 tests for school-going children. Over 3600 tests taken regularly. As a result, almost 1% of the test results are positive. After examining the whole situation, the result concludes that the infection rate is low. Therefore, NCOC ordered primary classes on September 30.
Firstly, the Sindh government announced to reopen schools of Primary and middle classes from 28 September. But after the meeting, the Sindh Government issued a notification to conduct classes of Primary and middle from 30th September.
The government strictly advised institutions to follow the sops strictly. Schools not following SOPs should close. Mr Saeed Ghani also stated that parents will not pressurize to send their children to the schools.
