Dental College in Faisalabad

According to the recent news, the Punjab government decided to establish a new dental college in Faisalabad. In this regard, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid stated that the government has plans to open a dental college at Medical College Faisalabad. However, the government also finalized the plan; thus, this will be implemented soon.

He also stated that this year only the Punjab government had allocated Rs 370 billion to the health department. The federal government allocated Rs 22 million separately. However, during her talk, he also raised the issue of COVID-19. She stated that COVID -19 fourth wave is dangerous and spreads rapidly. Thus, citizens must take possible measurements to keep themselves safe and follow the SOPs properly. However, she also asked the media to promote the campaign regarding vaccination. She also briefly told the statistics of COVID-19 patients. Dr. Yasmin said that the government had initiated door-to-door vaccination.

Regarding the Health Card, she said that all families in Punjab would receive the card until the end of this year. However, in Sahiwal and DG Khan, families already get it. Through these cards, citizens will get quality health facilities.
